This frame 35X42 CM displays three Roman bronze brooch plates or fibular plates (without the pin), an ancient iron Key and two Roman coins. These ancient items are mounted into a picture frame that was specially prepared using a number of natural elements such as clay and hessian material to feature such items.

Broaches Fibulas This is a very handsome, decorative piece of ancient Roman bronze ornamentation. A fibula was an ornamental pin the ancient Romans and Greeks used to pin their tunics and cloaks together. It is the forerunner of the modern safety pin. Dated around 100-400 AD

Key Medieval dated about 1400 AD. Locks and keys developed during medieval times were a result of need for greater security. In some cases up to ten locks were fitted on a door. Being a locksmith during ancient times was a very powerful occupation.
